These 17 1/4 x 11 1/4 x 12 inch multi-depth corrugated boxes are side-scored at multiple intervals, allowing the height to be folded down to a shorter depth to fit the product. Note that adjusting to a lower score line requires cutting the corner material — a carton sizer is not needed, but a cutting tool is. The result is a snug, right-sized box without stocking multiple separate heights.
This format is well suited to e-commerce fulfillment, warehouse shipping operations, retail distribution, and light manufacturing environments where outbound products vary in height from shipment to shipment. The ability to consolidate several height requirements into one box SKU reduces bin space and limits the risk of over-boxing shorter items.
