The EZ4® Guarded Self-Retracting Safety Cutter is a spring-back utility knife built for high-frequency cutting in demanding work environments. Its defining feature is a spring-back safety slider that automatically retracts the blade the moment pressure is released — no manual reset, no exposed blade at rest.
The ambidextrous ergonomic handle requires no adjustment for left- or right-handed operators, making it practical for shared workstations on fulfillment lines, receiving docks, manufacturing floors, and retail back rooms. A dedicated blade extension button enables tray cuts when needed, and the built-in bladeless tape-splitting edge removes tape without exposing the blade at all.
Internal blade storage accommodates up to 5 spare blades, and tool-free blade changes keep downtime minimal. Each cutter includes one SP-017 Single-Notch Safety Blade. Cases contain 12 cutters and ship via parcel carrier.
