3M™ 2517 is a 6.5 mil kraft paper-backed flatback tape with a rubber adhesive, offered in a 2-inch width on 60-yard rolls. The flatback construction delivers clean hand-tearability and strong dimensional stability, keeping edges straight and controlled without a dispenser or blade.
The tape is well suited to splicing, bundling, holding, seaming, and surface protection in manufacturing, fulfillment, and finishing environments. Its rubber adhesive bonds reliably to common substrates under moist or humid conditions, and the backing maintains enough rigidity to support straight, consistent paint lines in light-duty masking workflows.
