3M™ 2517 Flatback Tape is a 6.5 mil kraft paper-backed tape with a rubber-based adhesive, offered in a 12-roll case with each roll measuring 2 inches wide by 60 yards long. The flatback construction resists curling and distortion, allowing clean hand-tearable application without a dispenser.
This tape is well suited for splicing, bundling, masking, and general packaging tasks in manufacturing, warehousing, and light industrial settings. Its dimensional stability supports straight paint lines and clean masking edges, and it performs reliably in moist or humid conditions where paper-backed tapes may otherwise degrade.
